Meet the Team
Every listing on FreebieRadar is reviewed by a real person before it goes live. Here's the team that makes that happen.
Pete Danylewycz
Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Pete founded FreebieRadar after years of hunting for free samples and realizing there was no single trustworthy place to find verified, genuinely free offers. What started as a personal spreadsheet of legitimate freebies evolved into a full platform. He oversees editorial standards, sets verification policy, and personally reviews every brand that joins the platform. Pete has claimed hundreds of free samples over the years and believes everyone deserves access to free products — they just need a reliable way to find them.
Our Moderation Team
Sarah Mitchell
Senior Moderator
Sarah has been an active freebie hunter for over 12 years and joined FreebieRadar as its first moderator. She brings firsthand knowledge of what makes a legitimate free sample offer — she's received everything from beauty sample boxes to full-size kitchen appliances through product testing programs. Sarah leads the daily review queue, with a particular focus on verifying claim links work, confirming shipping costs are accurately stated, and checking that offer descriptions match what brands actually send. She's skeptical by nature, which makes her great at catching misleading offers before they go live.
James Okafor
Moderator — Brand Verification
James spent five years in consumer brand marketing before joining FreebieRadar, giving him an inside perspective on how legitimate sample programs are structured. He specializes in verifying brand identity — confirming that every company listing a freebie on the platform is real, identifiable, and accountable. James cross-references business registrations, official brand websites, and social media presence to weed out fake or misleading offers. If a brand seems off, James finds out why.
Rachel Nguyen
Moderator — Beauty & Health
Rachel covers the beauty, health, and personal care categories — the largest and most popular segments in the freebie space. With a background in cosmetics retail and years of personal experience testing beauty samples, she knows exactly what to look for in a legitimate sample offer. Rachel pays close attention to what you actually receive versus what's advertised: sample sizes, product formulations, and whether the claim process is straightforward or buries hidden requirements. She also monitors brand sample programs for restocks and new launches.
Tom Breslin
Moderator — Food & Household
Tom handles verification for food, household, pet, and baby product freebies — categories where sample quality and legitimacy matter most to families. He's a longtime deal hunter who started collecting free samples to stretch a tight grocery budget and turned it into a genuine expertise. Tom verifies that food samples are from legitimate brands with proper handling, that household product offers accurately describe what you receive, and that pet and baby product freebies meet safety standards. He's also FreebieRadar's go-to for spotting data-harvesting sites disguised as sample offers.
Our Review Standards
Before any listing appears on FreebieRadar, our team verifies that: (1) the offer page loads and the claim process works, (2) the brand is a real, identifiable company, (3) shipping costs are accurately stated with no hidden fees, (4) the freebie description matches what the brand actually offers, and (5) the offer is currently available and not expired or out of stock. Listings that fail any of these checks are rejected. We'd rather show you fewer listings than mislead you with unverified ones.
